Forging Energy Partnerships In A Momentous Year

Japan and Africa have been increasingly strengthening their energy collaboration in recent years, with both sides recognising the mutual benefits of working together in the energy sector. Japan, known for its advanced technology and expertise in energy efficiency, has been partnering with African countries to support sustainable energy solutions. Since hosting the first Tokyo International Conference on African Development (TICAD) in 1993, the Japanese government has focused on encouraging the economic development of African countries, particularly those in sub-Saharan Africa. Africa is rich in natural resources but faces energy access challenges and will undoubtedly benefit from Japan’s technological advancements to help meet its growing energy demands.
